Encore Dire Straits Tribute
Encore began their journey at the end of 2014, formed by musicians with extensive experience who were great admirers of the British band Dire Straits, which achieved countless successes in the 80s that are still played on the radio today and continue to evoke emotional responses. The current lineup of Encore consists of Gerry Zansavio (lead guitar and pedal steel), Federico Siani (vocals and rhythm guitar), Simone Vignola (piano and keyboard), Alessandro Corradi (bass and electric bass), and Nicola Pepe (drums). The name ENCORE was not chosen by chance – it comes from an EP by Dire Straits released in 1993 and fits perfectly with the four band members, who had previously performed in another Dire Straits tribute band.
Encore combines their passion for Mark Knopfler's music with a faithful reproduction of the atmosphere and guitar technique that defined Dire Straits. The band plays a wide range of hits from the Dire Straits era, including classics like "Sultans of Swing," "Money for Nothing," and "Brothers in Arms." Since its formation, Encore has not only gained attention for its musical quality but also through their social engagement, such as benefit concerts and performances at major events.
